Senior Copywriter - Bitcoin Payments (Remote)

Preferable Location: Los Angeles   |   Full Time


OpenNode is building the future of money through simple, secure, instant, and low-cost Bitcoin payment infrastructure for businesses, platforms, and people everywhere.


We are now seeking a Senior Copywriter to lead communication of our vision, mission, and products.


The role will report to the CEO & CPO. This position is full-time and ideally based in Los Angeles, CA - but location is flexible and remote for the right candidate.


Requirements


  • Passion for bitcoin and the future of money

  • 6+ years of professional copywriting experience at a start-up, agency, financial or technology company

  • Simplifier

  • Digital copy experience - mobile and web

  • Experience in both short- and long-form writing

  • Exceptional editing and time management skills

  • Skilled with developing content for B2B and B2C audiences

  • Clear and confident presentation and iteration

  • Can show us a kick-ass portfolio with examples of effective and engaging copy

  • Capable and willing to add value from micro to macro

  • Thoughtful and articulate.

  • Serious about the responsibility for ensuring OpenNode communicates flawlessly


Responsibilities


  • Lead strategy and execution for all OpenNode content deliverables including value proposition, branding, marketing campaigns, research, education and sales collateral 

  • Advance brand voice across digital audiences and platforms, including editorial, advertising, social media and online experiences

  • Produce original, pristine, polished copy and be accountable for final development of creative assets

  • Be a passionate and tireless advocate for OpenNode, Bitcoin, strategic partners, clients, and users


Bonus points


  • Experience communicating payment concepts and experiences

  • Entrepreneurship or startup experience

  • Speak multiple languages and/or have spent significant time outside of the US
